A successful art sale, promoting the work of fantastic local artists, was run by Outdoor Artists recently.
Outdoor Artists, in collaboration with womens' organisation Soroptimists, put together the two hour fundraiser at Palazzo Promontorio, Wardija on Thursday, 27th July.
It was held to raise money for Hospice Malta and to show off the work and talent of local artists.
Art lovers and artists packed into the venue, which was provided free of charge by its owner, for the sale and enjoyed glasses of wine.
As well as organising the sale, Outdoor Artists also arranged live music performances for the event.
The musicians performed wonderful pieces, creating a serene and harmonic backdrop.
Talented cello player Christopher Greenhalg performed first, followed by guitarist and singer Chris Miller.
The visual artists exhibiting during the sale were Sara Pace, Nadyanne Mangion, Nicole Farrugia, Jeni Caruana, Joanne Mills and Claire Farrugia.
The acting president of Malta, Mrs Dolores Cristina, visited on the evening and she very keenly asked about the artists and their work.
During the event, Outdoor Artists also promoted the education of visual arts by giving presentations to visitors on the use of different art mediums.
5% of the proceedings from the art sale were donated to Hospice Malta.
