AIM OF THE SPACE

 

The space aims to be an arts community hub, which artists can make use of as a workshop space, meeting point, research centre or as a residential space. Weekly activities include the open space as a library, Studio Practice Space,and arts workshops which vary from visual to performing arts and creative writing.

How to Apply

Applicants should send an email to doorartists@gmail.com with the following information:

​

  • A brief description of the work you intend to create during your residency and your reasons for applying (Work can be either related to art practice, community help, or organization help)

  • Biography / CV

  • Small portfolio in PDF format or a link to portfolio site

  • The dates which you intend to stay

 

The selection will be done by the Outdoor Artist's curatorial committee. We will take in consideration the creative´s portfolio and biography, the motivation, the viability of the proposal and its adaptation to available resources.

The Creative Residencies program is an opportunity to live and work in the town of Marsa for a period of up to three months. 

Spontaneous Application

 

Any person can apply through a Spontaneous Application. Residents that are entering our community space through a Spontaneous Application pay a weekly or a monthly fee.

The fee helps with the maintenance costs of the space
